Specific reason for increasing cost
1.As per the recent assessment of on-site conditions, approximately 18.5 km of 4 kg/cm² PVC pipeline was originally laid during the initial implementation phase (2009–10) to provide piped water supply coverage to one village and ten habitations under a stand post-based design. During retrofitting works in 2020–21, an additional 3.94 km of 6 kg/cm² PVC pipeline, with diameters ranging from 63 mm to 200 mm—including 1.2 km of 63 mm pipeline—was laid to enhance system performance. However, the overall network length remained constrained due to the original design’s focus on stand posts, which lacked adequate provision for household-level distribution. With the transition to the Functional Household Tap Connection (FHTC) model, the revised design now mandates individual tap connections for all
