Specific reason for increasing cost "The original scheme was constructed during the year 2011–12. As per the current site conditions, the water supply in this scheme has remained non-functional for the past 2–3 years. This disruption is primarily due to the severely damaged condition of all existing pipelines, which were affected during the installation of electric poles by the UPPCL Department. During the initial phase of implementation, only 6.7 km 4 kg/Cm2 PVC pipeline was laid. This was based on a stand post-type design, which limited the extent of the distribution network. However, the current design and survey indicate a requirement of approximately 15 km of pipeline to adequately serve all habitations under the scheme. The significant shortfall in the pipeline network has contributed to the disruption of water supply
