Specific reason for increasing cost
The original water supply scheme was constructed during the financial year 2010–11. However, based on current site conditions, the scheme has remained non-functional for the past 2–3 years. The primary reason for this disruption is the severely deteriorated condition of the existing pipeline infrastructure.
During the initial implementation phase, all main pipelines were laid within the road alignment. Over time, due to road widening and upgradation works carried out by the PWD and PMGSY departments, the pipelines sustained significant damage, leading to frequent leakages and complete disruption of water supply.
As a result, the scheme has become non-functional, and the existing pipeline network is no longer viable for restoration. Therefore, a complete replacement and realignment of the m
