Specific reason for increasing cost
The original water supply scheme was constructed during the year 2011–12, based on the infrastructure and service requirements at that time.
During the implementation phase, some habitation was left out of the pipeline network due to the absence of a railway and NH crossing, which was essential for laying the pipeline across the railway and NH corridor.
As a result, the habitation has remained uncovered and without access to the scheme’s water supply, leading to service gaps and community inconvenience.
To ensure complete coverage and equitable water distribution, a fully new pipeline is proposed for the excluded habitation. Additionally, one railway and NH crossing is required to facilitate the pipeline alignment and connect the habitation to the main distribution network.
