Specific reason for increasing cost
•Old & Damaged Pipelines: The original pipeline network, laid during the initial implementation phase in 1993–94, was constructed using 4 kg/cm² PVC pipes, with a design life of 15 years (up to 2009). These pipelines have now exceeded 31 years of age and are experiencing frequent leakages and breakages, especially due to road and drain constructions in the area. Their current condition renders them unfit for sustaining water supply pressure or reliability across the network.
•Deteriorated Tube Well (1994): The existing tube well, constructed in 1994, is still present in the scheme area but is now approximately 31 years old. Field observations indicate that the water extracted contains sand, clearly pointing to structural deterioration. The aging condition and contamination issues make it u
