Specific reason for increasing cost
Under the scheme, a total of 5.423 km of PVC pipeline (63 mm Dia and 110 mm Dia, 4 Kg/cm²) was laid for the distribution system, and work for 13 stand posts was carried out.
Under Retrofitting-I, against the target of 2,000 meters of 63 mm and 110 mm Dia, 6 Kg/cm² pipeline, a total of 2,200 meters of pipeline was laid, and against 390 household connections, work for 365 household connections was completed.
At present, approximately 36 household connections are found to be repairable, while the remaining have been damaged due to road and drain construction.
As per the new pipeline design, HDPE pipes of 6 Kg/cm² pressure have been proposed in place of PVC pipes of 4 Kg/cm². Accordingly, approximately 7,796 meters of pipeline needs to be laid/replaced, and 427 new household connections are
