Specific reason for increasing cost
Under the scheme, approximately 19.880 km of PVC pipeline (4 Kg/cm², 63 mm Dia to 200 mm Dia) was laid for the distribution system, and water supply was being provided through stand posts.
Under Retrofitting-1 of the scheme, against a target of 1,052 house connections and 2,890 meters of pipeline, only 220 house connections and 2.5 km of pipeline have been laid.
The construction work of the Chapra Maskari scheme was carried out on the banks of the Saryu River. Under the scheme, there are a total of 5 habitations in the revenue village Chapra Maskari, of which:
2 habitations are located outside the river embankment (approximately 12 km of distribution system), and
3 habitations are located on the river side of the embankment (approximately 10 km of distribution system).
